Typical online job boards are broken. With RemoteTechJobs, you know the company, minimum salary and whether it’s remote-first or remote only. Your data is never shared or sold, unlike other job boards.

We get asked about our requirement for minimum salaries – we don’t know of any other job boards mandating this, and it’s a good question. Minimum salaries are required because candidates want to know, they’re more likely to apply when they know, and the recruitment process is far more effective for both sides when candidates know from the beginning. “But I’m worried about our employees finding out what we’re paying!” Don’t be. Between hushed conversations, back-channels, and public records like Glassdoor, they have a pretty good idea already. Transparency avoids misinformation.

There’s a global movement towards salary transparency and we’re all about it. While technology companies large and small have published salaries for a while, we applaud recent salary transparency initiatives by governments and corporations. New York City passed new laws in 2022 making it illegal for most employers to exclude salary information from job ads, in an effort to close the gender pay gap. A similar transparency law operates in the US state of Colorado. Domestically, Accenture and PwC have both disclosed their minimum salaries or salary ranges in 2022 (sources: Accenture, PwC) and experts have called on other firms to follow suit. Times are changing.
